ThaiHelper started with our own struggle to find trusted help in Thailand. We built the platform we wished had existed.
Our story
In December 2024 our family of four packed up our life and moved to Thailand. New country, new language, new everything — and like most expat families with kids, one of the first things we needed was a nanny.
We searched for weeks. Facebook groups felt chaotic — endless posts, dozens of replies, no way to tell who was serious. Half the messages disappeared into the "message requests" folder we never thought to check. We sent enquiries to several agencies, waited days for an answer, and at the end of it all still had no one in our region.
When applications did come in, they often had no real information — no background, no photo, no idea whether the person had ever cared for children. We wanted detailed profiles and a more direct way to connect with the people who might become part of our daily life.
It wasn't just a nanny. We were also looking for a gardener for our pool and garden, and tutors for our kids. Every single search was the same chaos all over again. We kept thinking: in other countries we've lived in, there were proper platforms for exactly this. Why not here?
So we built one.

No sign-up fees, no subscriptions, no commissions. Both families and helpers use ThaiHelper at no cost — every baht a helper earns from a job stays with them.

Every account is email-verified before it goes live. No fake messages, no recruiters posing as families, no profiles thrown together with no information.

Every feature on ThaiHelper exists because we needed it ourselves. The category filters, the messaging tool, the verification, the direct contact — all of it comes from real searches we ran for our own kids, our own home, our own garden.
